    Principal's Message

Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year! It is hard to believe that the start of this academic year is here but it is our pleasure to embark on this unusual start with you.  We will all miss our Panthers in the classroom and on the playground, but we know that the health and safety of our students and families is the most important thing right now. The staff and I have been working very hard to ensure a successful virtual school opening. We are excited and energized for all the rigorous standard-based instruction the students will receive via distance learning!

The first semester will take place online with distance learning on Tuesday, August 18th . We are now, more than ever, partners in the education of your child. Our students will need our support to be successful during this challenging time.

Lane has been recognized as a California Distinguished School and a Top LA County Public School due to the rigorous instruction that we provide to all our students.  We will continue to implement grade level instruction so our students can continue to soar.

Communication with you is essential. We will use ClassDojo, e-mail, Connect Ed and school website to provide you with vital information and updates. We believe that parents are an integral part of our success. Your role is not only important to us but also to your child. Although we will begin the year virtually, we are excited to connect with you!

We welcome you to another school year! The teachers and staff are ready. Lane is committed to ensure that all students are connected during Distance Learning to access their education. We continue to be committed to our families and community during this unprecedented time.

    Thank you for your support,

    Josie Flores
