Principal's Message

It is with pleasure that I welcome you to the 2017-2018 school year. Our school community is extremely active and is supported by dedicated teachers, staff members and parent volunteers. We are all committed to helping every child to reach their highest academic potential and providing a positive learning environment. This school year will be full of unique learning opportunities for all of our students. Our students will become critical thinkers and participants in 21st century learning experiences. All students in 4th through 6th grades will be provided with a laptop to create incredible learning opportunities. It is our goal to engage and empower our students with activities that foster college and career readiness.

Through the initiative of our fantastic parents, school uniforms will be implemented beginning January 2018. Please join us throughout the fall during our uniform selection meetings. At Lane, everyone’s opinions count.

We welcome and encourage parent participation to support the success of our students. We encourage our parents to become volunteers. Parents are an integral part of their child’s education. The Parent Center offers many parent classes throughout the year, so please get involved.

In order to ensure student success, daily attendance is essential. Our school’s Behavior Support Plan focuses on being safe, being respectful and being responsible. Perfect attendance, positive behavior skills and academic successes are celebrated every month at our school assembly.

Please visit our school website to view the school information, important activities and school-wide events, as well as, learning resources for your child. I look forward to another incredible school year and I am excited to meet all our new students and their families. Go Panthers!
